Collin's First Haircut

Collin got his first haircut last weekend. He did really good. We went to a family fun haircutting place. He sat in a little yellow race car and honked the horn several times while the lady was cutting his hair. His bangs were so long, they went all the way past his eyes, he was in much need of a cut. And me, silly mommy, forgot the camera! So I had to take pictures when we got home!!! But I'll tell ya, he looked so adorable with that little cape on.

Baxter's best friend

Another weekend in Kansas. We headed down there a couple weekends ago to visit the family and see Rhyan's new car. A very fancy car too. I don't have any pictures of it, sorry. As long as Rhyan doesn't try and eat food or text while driving, I think he'll do great! Unfortunately I don't think Baxter will be able to ride with him...it's a good thing that Collin was down there that weekend so Baxter could try and sneak in as many licks as he could get. Collin loves Baxter, but since he's allergic to dogs, he can't get too close to him. However, Baxter will do everything he can to sneak by us and lick him on his head. Collin had a fever all weekend so we ended up having to take him to the Leavenworth ER! His temp finally went down a few days later, Roseola virus. We still had fun with Grandma Sharon. Grandpa Bill and Uncle Hugh were out of town in a bowling tournament.

Dragon Shirt

Just when I thought the "dragon shirt" had disappeared, Jason found it. This shirt has haunted me since we met. He embarrassed me with this shirt when we went on the cruise a couple years ago. Hungover, he decided to wear it on the plane, along with a straw hat. I always blamed the alcohol for him deciding to wear the shirt that day. As far as him wearing the shirt in these pictures, there is no excuse. I've wanted to throw this shirt away ever since he first showed me it. It's green with metallic gold dragons all over it...very classy, right? To make matters worse, he likes to wear his gold gangsta chain with it. I mean seriously, what else would you wear when you are baby-proofing the kitchen? Of course, only the dragon shirt.....

Night out with the Mom and Nay.

Nay Nay, John, Mom, Steve, and I went to Ameristar Casino for a night of fun...more like, a night of watching all the weirdos over there. It was quite entertaining to watch the folks from Council Bluffs shake what their mama gave them. Jason stayed home with Collin so I could enjoy a night out. The band was great and the dancing was even better.

Fun in the park...and at home.

We took Collin to the park to swing, I think he lasted about 4 or 5 minutes and he was ready to leave. So maybe he's not quite ready for the park yet! However, he loves the Rocking horse that Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong got him for Christmas. The horse makes noises and moves it's tail and head.

Too many ear infections, time for tubes in the ears.

After a couple months of straight ear infections, the doctors finally said it was time for tubes. We took Collin in early on April 28th. We were there by 5:45 a.m. and they put us in his room. The procedure started about 7:10 and he was finished by 7:25! Fastest procedure ever. He's been without ear infections for 2 months now. I also think that the tubes are making him BAD. I figured since he was 'hearing' us better now that he would listen and behave...we were wrong. NOW, he just chooses to ignore us.

Uncle's Birthday

Jeffrey's 27th birthday was April 19th. We went to Old Chicago to celebrate, then followed it up with some confetti cake at Mom's after.
